About me
James Turk, is the Director of Vocal Music at DeMatha Catholic High School, in Prince George’s County, Maryland. “Coach”, as he is affectionately called, has directed the High School Tenor/Bass Demonstration Chorus before and with great success. An educator, director, pianist, and composer/arranger, Mr. Turk has served as director of the Capitol Hill Chorale, the Navy Sea Chanters, and currently the choirs of DeMatha Catholic in Prince George’s County as well as remaining active with MMEA/MCEA. With over 35 years of experience in the field, he is in frequent demand as a guest conductor, clinician, announcer, church musician, and pianist.
