Jessica Harika, Assistant Professor of Music at Towson University, is a Lebanese-American mezzo-soprano, stage director, and producer. As a fierce advocate for opera's growth and accessibility, she serves as artistic and co-executive director of River City Opera, which she co-founded in 2019. She has held positions at Virginia Commonwealth University, Brevard Music Center's Janiec Opera Company, and City Lyric Opera (NYC), with additional credits at Wolf Trap Opera, Opera Theatre St. Louis, and others. Described as "a riveting and expressive performer," she holds degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University, The New England Conservatory of Music, and the University of Maryland.
