Makynzie Barton is the Choir and Theatre Director at Elkton High School in Elkton, MD, having studied at University of Delaware (roll hens!) as well as Berklee College of Music. Online, she creates content as a music educator, sharing the magic and madness of the classroom, arranging vernacular music for her choirs and creating a culturally responsive classroom setting to amplify student voices. Mak has built an engaged community celebrating music and music education, exploring how educators may use social media to advocate for their programs, build community, and showcase the impact of music education.
