About me
Dr. Burroughs is the Supervisor of Instruction for Fine Arts in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, and former Director of Bands at Chopticon High School. Under his leadership, Chopticon’s band earned numerous recognitions, including a USBands Group II National Championship, seven Maryland State Championships, superior assessment ratings, and performances at MMEA conferences. An active conductor, clinician, and adjudicator, he has received the MMEA Outstanding Music Teacher Award and the Corwin Taylor Music Education Leadership Award. Dr. Burroughs has contributed extensively to Maryland arts education initiatives and holds degrees from James Madison University, Towson University, and Notre Dame of Maryland University.
